Well, on second thought, I don't think there were any puncture wounds on the jacket, so that scenario doen not work. However, the jacket could have been used to deliver the initial blow to the face with the blount side of the weapon? In any event, the jacket was either in that room or brought to the scene, maybe it was useful in the clean up?
