Hi Tina-Kate, and happy birthday and many many many happy returns. I have been wanting to contact you (and may do so privately) because my fiancee is from St. Catherine's Ontario with many relatives in Toronto, and our wedding will be in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We visit Canada alot, though we live in NYC. Believe it or not I never made it to the Lizzie play, but we spent an entire day riding the streetcars in Toronto (street railways are another passion of mine, though I'll never tell Lizzie  ) anyhow, enjoy the day and your beautiful city.

Thank you so much for the lovely pics, Kat & Kimberly.

Re these age "compliments"...they're the best I've had since 3 years ago when a guy @ work said to me, "And you're WHAT? All of 25?!" He was obviously stretching...but it made my day!

Diana, I hope you had a wonderful trip & I hope you write us here about it.

R-H -- Wow, Niagara-on-the-Lake! That's a truly BEAUTIFUL place to get married. Lots of Victorian charm & I believe you can rent horse-drawn carriages. When I 1st moved to Toronto, I LOVED the streetcars. Back in the early 80s, they still had the old ones from the 50s running. After 20 yrs the city got more crowded & taking the cars @ rush hour turned me off for life, unfortunately. I've since moved to a much quieter city up north. However, I must admit Toronto IS lovely as far as many big cities go.

Happy Birthday, T-K! A birthday worthy of a Victorian cake.

Happy Birthday! But I warn you, that cake of Harry's looks like it's been sitting around since 1892. . .

I love the way they did the "icing" on that cake (looks like white chocolate shavings -- yum!) but the actual cake part DOES like kind of suspect!

Today (Sat), my friend Donna took me on a tour of homes put on by the "Imperial Order of Daughters of the Empire". The 1st 2 were B&B's --

"Wisteria", an 1860s home:

and "Rose Petal Estate", built in 1927 (the year Lizzie died):

I can't believe how many gorgeous homes are here in Peterborough!

Thanks Kimberly, you're the 1st person to wish me Happy B-day today!

I guess those are "party animals"...hehehe.

On reading the literature from my home tour, I realized the 1st house I saw was built the year Lizzie was born, the 2nd was built the year she died! (I love stuff like that!)

Actually I'm not sure it's a real cake. It may be porcelain! I found the picture at this site:

The home site has a large number of Victorian things for sale. Some very nice items. Fun browsing.

Again, Happy Birthday Tina-Kate!

Mine was porcelain too! It's a *party* group my neighbor owns. I took some photos at that house.----

SUNDAY! YOUR REAL DAY! YAY!!!
