I have just received copies of my new 328 page book, The Unfortunate Dr. Webster. About a murder in Boston in 1849. Dr. John Webster was hanged for murder of Dr. George Parkman. I've uncovered enough circumstantial evidence to peg the real murderer!

For a signed copy, the cost is $23. PM me if you want a copy or send me an email with your name and address to GrampaJoe@mac.com.

Congratulations! I'll have to wait for awhile though.

I've always wondered about that case, and if they really did identify the remains correctly.

Hi Patsy,
The remains appeared to be those of George Parkman because of the testimony of Dr. Nathan Keep, his dentist, and the peculiar shape of Parkman's jaw. There was testimony to the contrary about the teeth, however.
You'll have to order the book and read for yourself.

Did anyone finish reading yet? I am looking forward to ordering a copy soon and wanted to bump this back to the top so I wouldn't forget. My human harddrive is awful full these days

I'm glad you re-opened this thread because I finished it back in February and have been meaning to encourage others on the forum to pick up a copy.

I really enjoyed it. Although I didn't completely buy into Joe's theory, I found it an interesting, informative, well-paced read.
