Interesting item, that. It doesn't exactly scream "Lizzie Borden" but as an artistic piece isn't bad at all.

I just noticed a painting on Ebay that is supposed to be Lizzie. It is not the one that is being refered to in this thread.

I think I have seen this one or a similar one before. It looks bit like Lizzie, but I think that it also looks too different, for it to be her.

It does not say why the seller believes it to be Lizzie.

I think I liked the original item (the drawing) much better! The painting is...well, it almost reminds me of one of the photographs that's supposed to be Lizzie. The "self portrait" assertion is another bucket of quahogs altogether!

OK, THERE YOU HAVE IT.

Is this someone getting on the "Lizzie Profit wagaon"?

I am talking about the ebay Lizzie painting I posted about above.

He had it posted for 50 dollars. All of a sudden, I go to it tonight and now he has changed his starting bid to 75 dollars.

Now, let us look at this.............

He has had it on for a very short time and the counter in the ebay post says that in that short time 69 people have looked at it. Could he be getting GREEDY, HUNGRY, MONEY CRAVING.

Come on now. You put the painting on for 50 dollars. How can you change it to 75. What do you think. We are all fools. Bad enough it is not even Lizzie Borden. Also, the seller claims it is a "SELF PORTRAIT". Does that not mean that Lizzie painted it herself? Buyer beware. (keep in mind sellers negatives) :alcohol:

:-?

Ok, update on the ebay listing I posted above.

At first the seller had it offered for 50 dollars opening bid.

Then He changed it to 75 dollars.

Now, it has gone up once again. Now it is at 100 dollars with NO bidders.

Don't know what to make of that one? :-?

I am really curious as to how much higher the price will climb on this self portrait by the seller, I believe someone is telling the seller that this portrait is worth more than it really is, Time will tell.

She doesn't even look like a relative of Lizzies ! Maybe he thought by the price going up it would look like other's were bidding on it........lol
