Quote: This is the way I draw family trees. The genealogy templates don't work for me.
These 2 trees are referenced to The Representative Men... and Hattie Borden Weld.
In the first tree, find Anthony Morse, see his marriage to Rhody Morrison.
These are Sarah ( Morse) Borden's parents.

In the second tree, look for Sarah Morse m. Andrew Borden.
Also note that Sarah Lawton Vinncum and John Vinnicum are brother and sister, who I have extracted out to highlight their lines of descent.

////////////////

I need to redo the grandmother's name of Anna Morse. :-? There really are paint fumes!
The relationships are still valid, but I need to change the first name.
Plz excuse. And click on pic, thanks!

SEE FURTHER BELOW,REVISED, thanks

Once you find Sarah Morse, in the big "tree", the next in the line after her is her brother, William Bradford Morse. There is a star* next to him. Look next to find him (with a star*) married to Ann Francis Mason. These children of theirs are direct cousins to Lizzie and Emma Borden, two of whom were visiting Fall River that summer. One of whom (Anna) John Morse went to see visiting on Weybosset St. at Dan Emery's on murder day, August 4th, 1892.

Ann Francis Mason (now Morse) was sister to Caroline Cole Mason, who married Henry Gardner in Swansea. They lived at "Riverby" where Emma Borden was waked after her death in Newmarket, N.H. They are Orrin Gardner's parents. He is the one the newspapers printed a story about (1896?), inventing a story that Lizzie and he were engaged. He was considered a good friend of hers tho, and she would stay at Riverby, visiting.

Emma was good friends with Caroline ( her aunt's sister), who had promised to be responsible for her remains after death, even tho Caroline was the elder. After Caroline died, the Gardner family still accepted the promise given and took possession of Emma's remains which came by train from New Hampshire, waked her and buried her, June 1927.

Fun with genealogy!🍐🍐🍐

In the second tree, the numbers after the names only denote the next direct line of generation.
See next to Henry Gardner is his brother Nathan. Nathan is the father of Preston Gardner, with whose family in Providence Emma lived for a while, and she endowed his wife's charities. The Preston Gardners were the ones involved in the Tilden-Thurber affair.

Fun with genealogy?😉

In the first tree, sister of Sarah Morse and William Bradford Morse etc is Mary Louisa Morse with a star*.
Look to the left and see her again, married to her cousin Joseph Morse with a star*.
These cousins married and had the "slow" Joseph we discussed.
(Description attributed to a family member).

You will see a lot of these names in John Morse's will.
