I was thinking. I know it has been stated that emma left maplecroft because of Lizzie's circle of friends and the parties, but has anyone ever thought of that maybe emma came to believe that lizzie was quilty. Think about it they talk to each other againg after emma moved. Think maybe she decovered that lizzie did it?

it's not something anyone actually knows. (in another post i made a remark about a fog -- kind of a joke but actually true, did not mean to be a small alleck -- for example, if you read this month's issue of The Hatchet, there is an article there that might seriously confuse you on this question.)
there is a lot of free info here:

She was a genteel soul who did not have good bone structure. But she had a sister who dabbled in the art of facial reconstruction.

It would make sense Snokkums.
First that Emma could no longer go to the police because Lizzie had been found not guilty of the crimes.
Second, as the stories go, they both seemed to be in fear of something. I'd include Lizzie's knowledge of the killings, or her more awareness than Emma's, but I'll go along with you on your premice.

My favorite name is LIZ.
How I've listed in half light for LIZ,
and aftergone to badly things
in search of LIZ.
There was a sentence handed down in some obscure and unusual wavering,
about a girl named LIZ, and there was none who could really say,
If she was right or thatly wrong, or just she was so incorrect ,
and didn't care,
and that's what always made me fondly towards the LIZ.
And so I'm on to badder things and LIZ is in my dreams,
and in my precious thoughts and nightly whispers.
And in the mind she is that fine and in my heart she is so even even better.
And Liz is nowhere that I feel but she is somewhere that I think and she'll be someday when I am I am a wiser.
She is not the smarterest woman, nor I am a better man, but we are cuter
than the younger fools who catch life's rules by talkering and happenering.
Wishering for just
LIZ!
Um?
