I remember this well! it was during the 1992 Centennial Conference on Lizzie Borden held at the Bristol Community College. Mr. Robert Dube, the owner then and still owner now, got caught up in the excitement of the Conference and opened his home for the first time. I was there will several people, including the great grandsons of District Attorney Hosea Knowlton and Lizzie’s attorney Andrew Jennings. Also there were Len Rebello, author of Lizzie Borden Past & Present and Shelley Dziedzic who dressed as Lizzie during the Conference and who has for many years worked at the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast. She asked the Channel 6 News team from Providence for a copy of this segment which they gave her. She has always been gracious in sharing it with others. I can’t help but wonder if this is how it was acquired and put on YouTube. I also can’t help but wonder what Mr. Dube’ would think to know it’s on YouTube. Oh dear.

I remember this well! It was during the 1992 Centennial: Lizzie Borden a Century of Facination. I was inside also at the time both the great grandsons of Hosea Knowlton and Andrew Jennings were there. Shelley Dziedzic who attended the conference in period costume was inside during this filming as well, as was Len Rebello. She arranged with the TV news film crew for a copy of the tape and they sent it to her. As she has been gracious to loaning it to others over the years, I wonder if that’s how the current posting was acquired. Wouldn’t Robert Dube, the current owner, just have a hissy fit if he knew this were up on YouTube, long after it aired – 15 years later – and when he so protects the privacy of the interior of his home?

Thanks for “the tour”! Just wish there were much more! It’s interesting that the occupants own family pieces. Anyway, I’d much rather spend the night there than over on Second Street.
