What a peculiar decision to draw this and an equally odd decision by the editor to publish in the paper.

I haven’t seen that before, unless I’ve forgotten it.
Curious, very curious, and the description is erie.
I tried looking at it different ways, in case there was a hidden in plain sight message.
Got nothing. 🤨

Yes, very weird. I don’t recall ever seeing this before. What was the reporter trying to convey?

It reminds me of the later Agatha Christie book covers - the mystery of it. Silence, contemplation, determination. It doesn't include the eyes, so we focus on the mystery of the closed mouth that will not testify at trial, nor speak of the matter again, as far as we know of.

Thank you so much for attaching this, never saw it, I think it's a fascinating drawing. She was the most studied woman in the world during that time. This is what drew the artist's eye to her. Almost as if he (or she) had his own little obsession with her. And now look at us, still studying her. I don't deny a level of obsession.
