How did everybody sleep?

Okay, I'm dying to know...

Those who slept in the house...what room did you sleep in and how was your sleep? I noticed that the John Morse room is up for auction, and I've got to admit...not sure I could sleep there! It's funny, I recall our tour guide saying that she has slept in every bedroom but the Morse room because of bad vibes.

I've slept in the Morse room three times - very soundly, I might add.

Once in Lizzie's room...twice in the guest room (on the "murder" side both times)...all three nights were great !

First time I slept in Andrew and Abby's room. I admit I was tossing and turning all night. Had Andrew's portrait looming over me all night.

The second time I got stuck in Bridget's room. I slept pretty good , but
was a little weary heading up to the attic at 1230 AM to got to bed.
I always feel uneasy going up there. It is dead silent up there. A liitle
nerve racking

My husband and I had our two kids with us when we visited. I laugh when I look back because we paid for the Andrew/Abby suite, but only
one bed was slept in. The kids, of course, wanted to sleep with us. So we chose the queen bed in Abby's dressing room.

I tossed and turned all night. Although it didn't help to have some extra bodies in the bed, I just could not keep my mind from racing.

I'm most definitely going back...would like to give Bridget's a try.

Now the bus station is gone, it is much quieter at night and early mornings in the Morse, Knowlton and Jennings front rooms. For real quiet, Bridget's room has always been the hands down favorite for the staff to crash in. Andrew and Abby's room has the plus of smelling the morning coffee down in the kitchen and also of a private bath- unless you like to go really Victorian and have a chamberpot handy!

I slept in the John Vinnicum Morse room. I did not sleep well, but that was not the fault of the room. I work evenings, so I don't generally get to bed until three or four in the morning anyway. I only got a few winks. I had arranged for Ed to wake me up, but I was already awake when he knocked on the door.

Besides, I never sleep well the first night in a strange bed.

Whew! I'm glad I'm not the only one who tends to stay up way too late and has trouble the first night or 2 in a strange bed!

Bridget's room was very quiet- that's true!
Of course I removed the rocking chair before retiring each night!

I spent the night in the John Morse guest room twice and slept like a baby. So soundly in fact that I was a bit disappointed.

During my second stay at the house the guests who slept upstairs in Bridgets room claimed to have heard the sound of keys jingling on the stairs, and nobody was there.

My niece and I had the Lizzie and Emma rooms as a suite, but were too spooked to sleep in Lizzie's room and slept together in Emma's room. We were both a bit restless and unnerved. I got up at 5:30 and she got up soon after--- though neither of us is *a morning person*... we both heard some interesting sounds, whcih helped us stay awake longer...lol.
