Victoria Lincoln was raised in FR and down the block from Lizzie. She was not a contemporary. Her experience is little to none.

But she was a popular novelist and knew how to write a best-seller.
Read and enjoy the story, don't imagine you're getting the Whole Truth.

Great link! Isn't it odd that 80% of the 1922 guys' hair-dos would be perfectly okay today, while 80% of the gals' dos seem to be from Mars?
