Thanks MB for sharing. I love it. I don't see a white roof though. I do see it's a tad light but perhaps that is what they used back then (since they are keeping to historical colors)?

The rehabilitation of Maplecroft continues. It received some shutters today. More of them to come. Also some nice photos taken by Stefani Koorey of the house and its gold leaf (paint) trim.

Work progresses slowly at Maplecorft...... but it does move forward.

The maple tree which fell over a couple of years ago was replaced today. Another was planted near-by. There are now two new maple trees which greet you as you approach Maplecorft's front door. Also some shrubs were replaced in front of the building.

Hey Nadzieja:

Nice seeing you the other day, and of course your hubby included.

And I hear you had further adventures after we met. Cool!

Good the hear.

KB is a wonderful person. Sincere and kind.

Stefani's pretty good also. (had to say that to keep myself out of trouble. Though it's true.)

Hi MB,

It was good to see you too! Hope you liked your fish & chips!!! Of course I'm sure you would have had fun if you came with us to dinner.
KB is a wonderful, sincere and generous person. Really enjoyed meeting her. VERY happy to see Stef again. Always considered her a special friend and I'm so proud of her and her new book. It does my heart and spirit good to see my friends do well. That to me is important in this life, to be able to celebrate with our friends in good times and support them when life interrupts with not so good things. Hope to see you both next time we venture to Fall River.

MB..What a wonderful thread this is. I enjoyed seeing the transformation of Maplecroft with the pictures you posted. This is what is possible when a new owner comes along with a vision and commitment to Fall River's history, and restores such a historical building which can only promote further tourism into Fall River. Everybody wins in this case.

The transformation has been wonderful! It's like the house is actually happy because it's being cared for after such a long period of time.
