Emma's death was 79 years ago today so she and Lizzie are now caught up.

Kat it should be 79, I met a man who was born in 1926 and he is 80 today so Lizzie and Emma died a year later which is 80 minus one and that should be 79

OK...I am not a math teacher, but here's how I figured it to be 78 years:
2005
-1927
78
15-7 = 8 (the 1 is borrowed)
9-2 = 7
19-19 = 0...etc....

Sorry, it's 78 years. From June 1927 to June 2005 is 78 years.
