The ABC Family show "Scariest Places on Earth" will be at the house starting today, Sunday and will be there until Teusday night. The family is staying over tonight, and the interview with Lee and Don and two employees (Dee and myself) will be either Mon, or Teusday.
This is the show with Linda Blair as the host. I got a call from a producer from ABC family on my cell to set up an interview time while I was out with friends, and thought that was cool!
I will let everyone know the specifics as soon as they become available.
On another note, it was a pleasure to meet fellow members of the forum: Stephani, Kat, Harry and the crew. I was so happy that they caught my tour. I also met another historian who popped in to the house, a lady named Faye, she's from Arizona. On the day of the murders, I met Augusta!!!! I'm meeting everybody!
Take care all, and hope to see the rest of you at the B+B.

The crew from Scariest Places is here filming today. I just wanted you to know that we are not trying to be disrespectful of the case or what happened in this house 113 years ago. We'd just like to introduce the story to a new audience who would have never heard of it otherwise and this seems to be the best way to do so, by inviting shows like Scariest Places, Ghost Hunters and Fangoria into the house.
Please email me if you have any questions, concerns or comments about the direction that we are taking. I value your input on this. Thanks.

I think you should do what you have to do to keep the house working and open. I thought that when the word was out that you were planning a Starbucks. It is your house and you can do what you want to with it. If ghosts bring in the guests, then go for it. You might even have a special ghost tour on Friday and Saturday nights or something. Same tour, but charge more and include the ghost stories. Let the day tours be historical, the night tours be scary.
I am all for making the B&B pay off---the investment you must have made in the demolition of the Leary Press is probably staggering.

I think there should be a special feature dedicated to Lizzie nuts who have tattoos of Frida Kahlo... :0)

Stef, I really like your suggestion!! Maybe Eleanor, Dee, Emily and myself could do the ghost tours at night. Turn the lights low, and maybe even after conduct a mini "investigation" if we got some equippment together. As you noticed, I didn't mention the ghost stories on the day tours. If it's the last tour and they're interested, then maybe. When I do the evening tours, I fit them in at the places in which they have occurred for me.
I shall approach the idea to Lee-ann. Maybe after construction gets under-way for the barn and yard. She's got a lot on her mind
Okay, all for now. Again, thanks for all your compliments about my tour. It was a pleasure for me, and I had fun as well. And I wish I could have made it to your lecture, Stef. Did they video-tape it? I was having issues with my diabetes that night grrrrrrrrrr.
Bye!

I was real happy to meet you, too, Ben. I was so surprised that it was you!
After the re-enactment, we were talking in the kitchen and he mentioned the Forum. I was surprised and asked "What is your user name?" And he said, "I'm Ben." I was pretty speechless and pointed at myself and barely got out, "Augusta!!!" And he yells out: "Augusta!!" And he hugged me, and I hugged him, and it was such a delightful surprise.
I had chatted with his mother on a sofa before the performance started and she was there in the kitchen and I was tickled to find out it was Ben's mom.
Ben is so handsome, and very good at the B & B. I'm looking forward to seeing the Linda Blair show. I think it's good that they will be interviewing you. You'll do a great job.

All of the interviews went well. They also interviewed a couple of previous guests. I still wish Eleanor was interviewd, but she had a lot going on as well. She would have been perfect!

It will be very exciting to see the show ! Besides those of you who work at the house, will we know any of the other 'interviewees', or does that have to stay a secret ? I can hardly wait to see this ! Do you know when it will air ?
