Geez, my name Harold is not even in the top 500 for males. I'm 616th. That makes it lower than such names as Jaydon, Jaquan, Kadin, Jabari, Tyree and Rodolfo! :lol:

I just know all those Elizabeth's are really called Lizzie. It's the stigma of axe-murderess of her parents that keeps parents today from fully embracing Lizzie.

I know I'll offend someone, but what is it with the name of Madison...they're coming out of the woodwork around here. And everytime I hear the name, all I think of is Jack Klugman as Oscar Madison. Clues, please!

Let's make it Leafee in 2006. Calling all expectant mothers, Leafee is IN for 2006. Hot! Sizzle!

Wow, in my birth year my name was ranked 5th, now its ranked like 565. My twin, Stephen, ranked 28th originally and now is 140, still a fairly popular name, I guess. I did have a friend in high school named Elizabeth, she went by Liz and her mother called her Lizzie. Reminds of this nusery rhyme:

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, Elspeth, Betsy, and Bess,
They all went together to seek a bird's nest;
They found a bird's nest with five eggs in,
They all took one, and left four in.

Well, Christopher's still up in the top ten. A lot of the boy names in the top ten have been there for many, many years.

Six years ago when we were thinking about names for our expected child, one book we read suggested staying away from Emily because it was too popular. We chose it anyway. When I told Em tonight that here name was number one last year, she did a little celebration dance around the kitchen. (We also considered Abigail, which is up pretty high, too.)

Well, my name has dropped from a high of number 5 clear down to 700 and something. And that's a good thing. The name is boring and no child should have people constantly coming up to them and serenading them with Ritchie Valens' song, " Oh, Donna, oh Donna" Please, I know you mean well, but don't sing that song to me any more :lol:

The top ten boys' names looks like the table of contents to the Old Testament.
