I was watching TV docu/bios on these WWII heros. I saw the Congressional Medal Of Honor Hero and they gave his story. I get all choked up at this stuff.
Our oldest brother visited our parents at Arlington National Cemetery Friday and he said everyone there had gotten a flag! It makes one proud.
Our dad's niche faces the Pentagon.
He was a Capt. in the Navy Reserves.
We learned a lot about WWII from him as studying that was his passion.

It is a special day here. My husband's dad was an Army veteran of WWII, Phillipines, Korea, AND Vietnam. My husband is an Army veteran of Vietnam and my dad was in the Navy on the Arkansas in WWII.
Our parents were a generation of true sacrifice.
