I think this subject has been discussed already, but I couldn't find it.
As some of you know, I created a 3D model of the Borden house as it looked at the time of the murders. I have been considering creating a simple paper model kit of the house in the not too distant future.
But there has always been the question of paint color. Does anyone know, roughly, what the colors of the house might have been?
Is there any record of this?

I thought maybe LeeAnn, and the current gang at number 92 might know.

It's my understanding that among the easiest/cheapest paint colors to produce in the early days (in quantities to paint houses) were white, black, yellow ochre, and red ochre/iron oxide (rust).

Mixing yellow ochre, black and white together in various proportions produced a number of olive or grayish-yellow "drabs" that were quite popular. Depending on how much yellow ochre, black and white were mixed, drab could range from a light, creamy olive-gray to a dark brownish olive.

The Borden house was painted "drab" on the outside. I can only imagine that it was a subdued olive/brown/gray shade, much duller and probably lighter than the rather vivid green that is now on the house.

Keim, I just wanted to praise your work again. Thanks to you and Rick Geary we can get a sense of what it might've really been like to walk along Second Street on that long-ago day

Hello Keim, I heard a rumour you have also done 3D images of the inside of the house. If so, how do I get to take a look?

I enjoyed the 3-D images. I felt like I was there, and actually got hungry for a pear.

Hello stargazer, can you tell where to find what you saw please

I meant that the images were so real that I felt I was there. I do that often with photographs, drawings, etc. I project myself into a picture. I hope to see the house in person one day. Your 3-D images are great ! The step by step report was excellent. Thank you for sharing the many photographs. I think there was a water tank in the attic or Andrew's room. I like to photograph things that most people miss, like that trap door you found.
