This one is not directly Borden related. Today, (Aug. 25th) 6:30 p.m. eastern, on the HGTV channel, the series If Walls Could Talk has an episode titled Piano Cash Surprise. The description reads:

"Part 1 - Owners of a 1914 Georgia home find $10,000 hidden in an antique piano. Part 2 - Secrets are uncovered in an 1890 Victorian home."

Mmmm... I always wondered about that Borden piano. Maybe some Borden money or a hatchet?

That's weird! I just read an account in the papers about The Hilliard Papers being donated to the FRHS- I think it was The Hilliard Papers: they were donated so close in time to the Knowlton Papers and both collections included a lot of correspondence from the public-
Anyway one letter that was referred to suggested that officials look in the piano!
