I read that some of you will be in Lizzie's neighborhood during April. My stepson is getting married in Massachusetts the third Saturday in April and I was thinkng of visiting Lizzie's house that Sunday or Monday. Will anyone else be there during that time?

Hi angel,
bobarth and I will be there the weekend of the 14th. Maybe we could hide something in the house for you to hunt down.

Please tell us the best place to hide a hatchet. My first thought was the water closet in the cellar.

The best place nowadays to hide a hatchet is behind that false brick wall in the front "wood room". There are loose bricks which come out and a nice 6 inch pocket between the brick and the granite foundation. I call it a false wall as it is not structural- it is more of a liner and the southwest corner wall is the only wall in the cellar to have this funny configuration. So if anyone gets murdered by hatchet at the house and the weapon is not found- somebody can tip the police off where to look!

You'll have to bring your own hatchet, they can't find Lizzies! lol

Oh - we have several on the loose in the house (which DO get locked up before my head hits the pillow at night by the way)- why tempt Fate?

LeeAnn has found a lady to make stained glass hatchets (in bloodclot red) with LAB in silver monogram which are suncatchers-for sale in the "bahn".

Other resident hatchets have been found or donated by visitors and find a place in the kitchen or out in the barn on windowsills. Always a homey touch. .

Think LeeAnn would consider putting that hatchet sun-catcher up for sale on the House website ?

I am sure she would. I will take a photo on Friday. The same lady also makes lovely pears in stained glass for the house as well. Both items are heavy , with real stained glass leading.

Now I find out that my step son has changed the date of the wedding to the third weekend in June. Will anyone be going there then?
