Results: I got 16 out of the 20 correct.

I only got 14 of the 20 correct.

I had all 10 of the genuine smiles correct. However on the fake smiles I had only 4 of the 10 correct.

I got 17 out of 20. I found the eyes were the telling feature. If the face didn't light up, then I thought they were fake. I was mostly right. Very interesting!

I got 16 out of 20 right. 2 looked borderline so I took a gamble on those. I got 2 fakes wrong and 2 genuines wrong.

Harry and Steve, I really like how you guys broke the results of your test down. I took the test again in order to post my results as you guys did, but, ended up getting 18 of the 20 correct! Go figure!

Stefani, I agree with the eyes being the telling feature; some were quite obvious, others less revealing. The first thing I notice about a person is their eyes, so I guess that is the reason I focused on them when I took the test.

I'm glad you found this topic interesting.

We have discussed Lizzie's eyes in the past ( viewtopic.php?t=2710&start=0 ), and wonder if we had an opportunity to see her in real life, we would be able to tell if she was being truthful, lying or indifferent during her trials. Unfortunately, we'll never know. It's just wishful thinking on my part.

I scored a 13 out of 20.

I've heard it said that women are more intuned to sensing people's emotions than men are. That is why, from what I've been told, a woman's eyes dart back and forth from your right eye to your left eye as she is talking with you or listening to what you are saying. Ever notice that? Women seem to do that much more than men.

Very Fun! I got 14 out of 20. I think the eyes are telling as well.

I think the cheek muscles are also important.

Need a smile be 100% genuine? Doing it again with the solution in front of me, I could swear that some of the "genuine" smiles included fake elements. See if you don't agree.

Years ago when I did a painting of a friend of mine I made a tracing of her face from a photograph on the cover of a magazine. She had a smile on her face that I did not want in the final painting so I redrew her mouth to give her a serious look. I also had to redraw her eyes, cheeks, nose, eyebrows, one ear, chin and her lower jaw.

When a person gives a genuine smile the whole face changes slightly.

I got 17 out of 20. I flubbed on 3 genuine smiles that appeared to be fake to me. I think it was because they ended their smiles so abruptly and went back to their expressionless faces so quickly. To me, when someone ceases to smile over something, it lingers for a bit around the eyes.
