This photo comes from signals.com . It says that it is: "The First Photograph of Lightening" "Around 1885, amateur photographer William N. Jennings took the first-ever photograph of lightening. Dazzling, dramatic, and astounding given the technology available at the time, it caused an international stir. The award-winning original is in the George Eastman House Museum in Rochester, New York."
They're selling reproductions of this, as pictured, for $69.95.
(Hey, wasn't "George Eastman" the name of Montgomery Clift in "A Place in the Sun"?)
