I no longer follow baseball, or any other sport, since there are no financial or tangible returns. Why would I root for someone making 32 million? My reasoning apparatus just can't support it any longer.

And guess what - he was born in Canada! That according to the Glossary in the Knowlton papers. He lived in FR and was sometimes listed in the city directories as "Short" and "Courtemanche"
