Yes, TIS learned of it several days ago but was waiting to post it pending confirmation

Miss Dean is- the sole survivor, although she was but an infant and has no recollections at all.

Yes...there's nobody left now but that little old sweetheart of a lady Milvena Dean. Of all the survivors I've ever seen interviewed - admittedly rather few - she's my favorite.

Milvina is in a nursing home now but still sees friends when she can. I was lucky to meet her several times when she was in the U.S. I wonder how it feels to be a sole survivor after all these years.

You've met her? Oh how neat! If she's anything in person like she comes across in filmed interviews, that must have been a real treat.

The only part of her talks that I find a little hard to take emotionally is the way she speaks of her father - having to literally imagine what he was like from photographs.
I couldn't imagine being left a sole survivor even after all these years. It's in a way a victory, but also a condemnation, you might say.

Hmmm... in the
How's This For Irony? Department we have this: Barbara Joyce West Dainton was apparently born at Bournemouth 24th May 1911 - exactly one week
before the RMS
Titanic was launched!
