Finally saw Ghost Hunters at the B&B

I finally caught the rerun of Ghost Hunters at the B&B. I felt that they kind of pooh poohed the existence of ghosts there even before they arrived.

The only thing of interest to me was the thud they heard when they were on the 3rd floor. Do you think Bridget's secret is that she heard Abby's body fall? Or perhaps the sound of a hatchet against Andrew's skull?

Has anyone on the forum heard strange sounds on the 3rd floor?

Yes I did, coming from Harry's room, whilst I was in the other attic room. I think he was in Knowlton Room?( At least the one on the Mrs. Churchill side.)
He didn't hear anything. That was a bit strange.

Yeah, they were a little condescending with the comment about it being hard to believe a place with a gift shop is haunted.

We've tried recreating those scenarios (both Abby and Andrew's position at time of murder) and no way could Bridget have heard anything from the third floor-or from outside either. Remember- the windows were closed because Bridget was washing them downstairs. Her room is the back of the house- Abby was killed in the front of the house and Andrew in the middle of the house two floors down- besides, Bridget was out washing the south end windows and talking to Mary Doolan at the estimated time Abby was killed, and did not go up to the third floor until just before 11 -after Abby had been killed.

If we believe Bridget, yes her time is somewhat accounted for. If we don't believe Bridget, then she might have heard something- maybe not know until later what she had heard- it all depends on where she really was. Also there is still the discussion as to the time of Abby's death. Bridget has no alibi for 9 a.m. - in fact, Andrew* and Lizzie also have no alibi for 9 a.m. as well- if we wish to consider them. Timing can be stretched a bit and even include Morse, IMO.

*Andrew was seen outside by Mrs. Churchill around 9 a.m. but she didn't see him leave- technically. And it could be either side of 9 a.m. that she saw him.

The noises I heard were coming from the floor area. Below which would be the front hall.
