Spring is here again!
(Well, if you call 82 degrees Spring.)
Flowers have been out for a while but I thought you could use a treat to tide you over! These were taken about 7 PM this evening.

And my annual trek to the Art Show is mon-yanna- so that is something to look forward to, as long as my camera holds up!
:sunny:
BTW: A couple of these are just pictures of cute little Orlando homes.
This first one may be a *Sears Kit*- prefab I guess? 1930's or 40's? My phone company repairman friend thinks this might be.

This is a sunset in January outside my local Staples office store parking lot. I'm adding it here. It was a balmy evening, before the time change.

I love the first little lilac-colored home. How lucky to have azalea out in bloom already. We had snow showers and torrential rain yesterday and even the poor daffodils have barely poked their noses out.

Wow! I love your pics! The first house is a Craftsman-style bungalow...most likely 1930's. Such an interesting array of architectural styles..I love them.

Thanks, Kat...I love looking at Craftsmans.

I am going to get a break from this awful seemingly neverending winter for a while...I'm off to UK for the last 2 weeks of April. So, if there's no hope here...at least I will get to see some flowers in 1 months time!

Thanks for the flower preview!

Beautiful pics, Kat. They remind of out here in California, little stucco houses and bungalows, its what most of the older neighborhoods look like. I especially like the blue house, something so cheery about the color and the landscaping, perfect for a tropical setting.

Oh what beautiful pics, Kat!!! It sure looks like spring has sprung in Florida... 82 degrees would be a summer temperature for Wisconsin. At this point, I'd be happy with 50 degree temperatures!!!

I like the house in the first pic as well as the square white house with the gorgeous Azaleas in front! Are those lilac trees in the second pic? I love the scent of Lilacs!

Thank you for sharing these pics with us.

You're welcome! :sunny:
I did think Southern California, Susan!

I did go to the art festival but was not inspired to take any photos. We were dripping with sweat and I love that, but my friend did not. Anyway, it was too crowded.

But!
I did go out today especially for you guys to give you Spring, as I do most years. My camera was on trial- it's not been working properly and I decided if this picture safari failed I would get a new camera. Well, it passed today so that is an expense forestalled.

Coming up- Spring Flowers! And one interesting house.

[BTW: You're going to England, TK?! Yay!]

I parked my car at the bottom of my street and down around the corner. Then I walked to get some good views. So these are basically in my neighborhood.

Yes, tho not all together a good thing, as my Mum is very sick.

However, I am longing to experience green things & colorful flowers again. This winter has been too long!

Thanks for sharing with us your lovely photos.

I'm going to see if I can't get an inexpensive digital camera. If so, I can take some shots of "The Old Country" & share them here from my parents' place on the Isle of Wight when I go.

I'm sorry about your Mum, TK. I feel like I have met her thru pictures and e-mails. (And thank you again for the Isle of Wight magazine you sent me!)
Yes please send pics when you get there.

Whew! This is a lot of work, but I love it. The cropping and deciding what I want in my composition...
I only adjusted 2 pictures: the panthers and at the end here coming up, a cactus. No lightening, no darkening, no contrast, no enhancement. Just used the close-up feature on my camera.
So yes everything is so bright and vivid. I keep picturing winter in the north as being black and white and grey.

I see that my cropping was not wholly effective. I try to get the pic on the screen to reflect my vision in my cropping.
So really the best picture is within the box. If you wish to save the photo for a desktop wallpaper, clicking on the box will give you the view I intended. :sunny:

You've got that right, Kat. It is a rare day when we have had a day of sunshine, this entire winter.

Love the pics! They are absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for bringing us a bit of spring via colorful pics! It is very refreshing.

Tina-Kate, I'm sorry to hear your mother is ill. I would love to see pics of the Isle of Wight.

Last night I came across this picture my Mum sent me. She captioned it:
"Pookie---unhappy with snow". This is their cat out on the roof.

Image

It shows the worst the snow gets down there.

Somehow, snow & palm trees don't seem to go together!

I'm going out this w/e hunting for a cheap digital camera. I head off across the pond to the Isle of Wight on the 18th.

Tina-Kate--I hope your mum is better when you get there. It's hard to go home sometimes, but it still a good thing to go. Sometimes it's good just to look at everything especially if it's a place you were happy being. Oh Kat----Thank you Thank you Thank you for those pictures. Today we don't have snow, we have POURING rain and thunder. It was such a fantastic thing to see the flowers and really cute homes. What gorgeous azaleas. My best friend is leaving in 3 weeks to live in Florida, she went down & bought a house. She is originally from Louisiana and says its time for the southern girl to be rid of winter. This year did it, she said she couldn't take it anymore. She needs to see flowers and feel warm weather. I didn't realize how much I needed to see flowers until I saw your pics. thanks again

Thank you for your kind words.
I hope your sister gets thru hurricane season unscathed! I really do!
If you come down to visit her, you should call me!

Thanks for the picture TK! At first I could not find Pookie! I was beginning to think she was a white cat! Now I see her.
