Mutton From Mutton Leaves Mutton...

I think this qualifies as a “You know you’ve been spending too much time on the Lizzie Forum when…”—
We have a group of musical bands here who rent space from us 3 days a week.
Yesterday, the leader of the jazz band came into my office with what appeared to be a big old wrapped-up leg of mutton slung over his shoulder.
He asked to borrow my scissors.
Hmmm, thinks me. Do I want to give a sharp instrument to someone hauling a leg of mutton?
I handed him the scissors. “What on earth IS that?” I pointed at the mystery package.
He used the scissors to unwrap it & explained, “Our new band is going to be playing conch shells.” (as musical instruments)
“O yeah, I heard about that. It sounds pretty cool.”
“This is a giant conch shell,” he said, revealing the pink monster. “This is going to be the bass.”
“Thank goodness,” sez me. “It looked like a big ol’ leg-o-mutton.”
He laughed heartily, but I think I laughed harder.
This band is going to be named, “Conched Out.”
Egads, Lizzie fans. Beware…sooner or later, everythin’ looks like mutton!
