Naughty Audrey....

I think I may have gone too far today! MON DIEU!

I was in the "Super-Center" getting some water softening salt and I saw this stunning looking young man walking by to go into the store. He was very attractive in a primal sort of way. Tall, muscular, etc.... (I live in a college town and I am almost certain he is a student there)

I was struggling to lift the bag of salt into the back of my hideously large SUV when he offered to help me.... Of course I accepted....

When he was done I threw my head back and acted as the coquette and asked him "how can I ever thank you" in breathless heavily French-accented English. He said "how about a kiss"....

SO I KISSED HIM!!!!!! I left a definite imprint of Lust Red French lipstick on his cheek....

I think he was as stunned as I was.....

He blushed beet red!

It is nice to know I can still turn a head or two despite the fact that I am (as my children say) an old crone....

Old crone indeed! Nothing like children to make you feel old, especially when I have children call me "ma'am", it makes me feel like I'm in my 80s or something! Good for you, Audrey, nothing like having an attractive younger man flirt with you to make your day! Though that kiss could have been seen as misleading, be careful! It made me think of that Marilyn Monroe song "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend"....A kiss on the cheek may be quite continental, but, a diamond on your hand is a girl's best friend.

LOL!

I performed that song at a charity fund raiser about 2 years ago!

You do realize that song starts...

"The FRENCH were bred to die for love......"

My favorite line is...

I've heard of affairs that are strictly platonic
but diamonds are a girl's best friend,
and I think affairs that you must keep liaisonic
are better bets if little pets get big baggettes.

FYI-- I ADORE jewelry. In fact I collect it! I would sit around the house in a tiara if I could.....

PS--

I like the Carol Channing version....

I love all that type of music....

I think I was a Champaign Singer in a former life.....

Goodnight, sleep tight and pleasant dreams to you... Here's a wish and a prayer that every dream comes true..... And now till we meet again, adios, au revoir, auf wiedersehen!

 Thats great! I agree, jewelery is always a very nice gift, especially diamonds when you can get them! Nicole Kidman sang the song to great effect, I thought, in the movie Moulin Rouge. I love that whole part of the song:

The French were bred to die for love
they delight in fighting duels
but I prefer a man who lives
and gives expensive jewels.
