Boy do I remember the Pamela Smart case. She was on the 6 o'clock news giving exclusive interviews every night in the days prior to her arrest. I had lived in southern N.H. a year or so before that and was familiar with her neighborhood and the shopping center that the killers ran to after the murder. I also used to shop near the Rockingham County Courthouse where the trial took place. I wasn't sure what to make of that case until I heard the tape that... Celia Pierce (?) secretly recorded for the police. Every other word was #$@%!!! It seemed like she was too stupid to cover her own tracks and she also involved several teenagers all of whom would eventually talk. Now it looks like she has a counselor to rehabilitate her image so she can be released. At least the press has stopped calling her a school teacher!

She wasn't even a school teacher. She was doing something with audio visual stuff. I hope she never gets out. Someone like her is so diabolical, I don't think they can be "rehabilitated".
I wonder if they ever let any of the three boy teens out?

Wow almost 20 years.
Of course I remember this because my name is Pamela and I don't feel it's a pretty common name.
I do remember they made a TV movie about the case and Helen Hunt played Pamela Smart. And it freaked my mom out because at one point in the movie of the last things Greg Smart said to her was "I love you, Pammie" and my mom always called me Pammie. She said it "creeped her out".

Even creepier than "I love you Pammie" was Greg Smart begging the teenager who shot him not to take his wedding ring because "his wife will kill him".

Yes!! I remember that part too!
I think I remember hearing the kid that shot Greg Smart was up for parole either last year or the year before, but I don't know if he got out. I'll have to google that.

I watched the movie about this case a week or so back. It starred Helen Hunt as Pamela Smart.
I have read where Pamela still has not admitted any blame in the murder. I would think, given she received life without parole, she would clear her conscience and admit her part in it.
