I remember that Dr. Bowen gave Lizzie bromide to calm her down after the murders. What I didn't know until I looked it up today was that it was the main thing in those days to use for epilepsy. There would not be a better drug for epilepsy until phenobarbital in 1912. This brings to mind Victoria Lincoln's theory. I wonder if Dr. Bowen had her on it before the murders.
