I loved Lucy. When she passed away, it was very sad. It was great when, in 1997, I went out to Jamestown, NY to see the Lucy-Desi Museum. It may have changed since then. In '97 there were more things than they had room for. Some displays were audio ones, and video ones, and you couldn't hear the main one that was playing. Lots of kids running amuck, including my 2 year old who got (understandably) bored and just cried loudly thru the whole museum. My husband took him outside to sit at a picnic table while me and our daughter got to enjoy the museum more.

At that time, they were selling vials of Lucy's henna that was left over after her death. It was very pricey, and didn't I bite.

I think I posted this some years ago on here (or on the old board), but I ran across these photos and thought I'd put them up here for anyone who may enjoy them before I put them away.

I think Betty White said it best when Lucy died. "Heaven needed a clown."

I never was a fan of Lucille Ball's until I read the book, "Love, Lucy." Now I am a fan! I love that scene in "The Long, Long Trailer" as she is making dinner while Ricki is driving. He opens the door and she is all over the floor.

Lee Tannen, one of Gary Morton's young cousins, also has a thoroughly enjoyable book out on latter-day Lucy, "I Loved Lucy," with an intro by Lucie Arnaz.

Lucy had every "I Love Lucy" script in her library at 10000 Roxbury Drive, Beverly HIlls. Wouldn't mind having just one of those ... Tannen writes about what gifts celebrities sent in one Christmas, including Betty White.

Betty, Lucy, Carol Burnett, and "Liz" Montgomery were all serious-to-the-core "Password" players. They were all part of a Hollywood TV industry that simply no longer is.

Have been watching Betty on the new TV Land sitcom, "Hot in Cleveland." Carl Reiner was her love-interest guest star this past week.

I love the movie "The Long, Long Trailer". I'm so glad they made it in color! There is another one Lucy and Desi made during that time period, also in color, called "Forever Darling" with James Mason. I don't think it's as good as "...Trailer", but I am such a Lucy fan I enjoy it.

I have a Lucy script, but it's from a "Here's Lucy" show. I have a couple more photos I'll post soon.

I have the book "Laughing with Lucy", written by her writers from "I Love Lucy" - Bob Mosher and Madeline .... oh, what's her name. Pugh! Madeline Pugh! They continued to write for her some after "I Love Lucy". Haven't read it yet.

I like the movie she did with Bob Hope called "The Facts of Life" but can't get a copy that doesn't cost the sun and the moon.
