Activities at the Fall River Historical Society today were a total success, with many visitors to both the Lizzie Borden exhibit and the book signing by Michael Thomas Brimbau. People form all over New England came to examine the exhibits offered by the society on Lizzie Borden, her life, and trials and how the elite and Victorian elite lived.

Also of great success was the signing by Michael Brimbau of his book The Girl with the Pansey Pin. Sales were brisk. As a matter of fact, more copies were sold of a fiction book at the Society at a signing than ever before. The staff, the employees of Pear Tree Press, along with the author had a wonderful and most successful sale.

To all of you who attended, thank you!

Thank you, Stefani.

Is the Lizzie Borden exhibit permanent? If so, I hope I could visit it, one day, and the Borden house as well...

No Franz I'm sure it is not. But I'm sure if you came all the way from Italy to see it, they would make an exception. If not, just bring an axe with you.

Some of the exhibit was made up of very large photographs, small poster size, of the crime scene and of Lizzie's town. The coolest display was the bed spread, which they had on a rack and stretched and hanging. That item I believe is kept in storage and only brought out on special occasions. It was weird to rub the back of my hand on the blood splattered cloth.

I had to attend a special function at the Historical Society on the 4th. So, I had a tie made up for the occasion. What do you think?
