For years I politelty refused to allow my home to be on the Christmas Tour---- This year I finally agreed.
I was contacted by the tour chair and was asked if I would allow a tour of "Red Hatters" to go through on Monday... I consented.
I had everything in place... Including a CD of Johanne Blouin (torchy French singer) singing Christmas songs in the CD player.
As the Purple dressed, red hatted matrons walked though my front hall, living room and dining room they should have heard her singing "L'enfant au tambour" (Little drummer boy) and "Ave Maria" they heard instead.... Everyone's favorite Christmas song....
"Money for Nothing" By Dire Straits.
I want my MTV.................
The evening before, whats-his-face took the CD out that I had in and put in one his burned ones to listen to with the headphones while cathcing up on paper work.... He then failed to remove/replace.
I was not home when the tour went throgh but did tell the lady helping me out that day how to turn the stereo on..... I guess she didn't know about the off option... It was loud too.....
I asked if any of them were tapping their feet and smiling... No....
He shoud have learned to play the guitar-- he should have learned to play those drums..

Thanks for the offer!
What does his upkeep cost?
I think I'm old enough to be his, uh, young aunty...
I just read in the "Profiling" book that Holiday Open House is a time for crooks to case the joint. Please stay safe.

Darn, if I wasn't engaged I'd make you an offer, hes a cutie despite his Christmas Tour faux pas.

Look at it this way, things could have been worse, Thayne could have been home during the tour walking around the house in his underwear or something.

Kat-- He is pretty cheap. His biggest expense are his green fees and gas for his 12 cylinder car....
Susan.... He does think having nothing but underwear on qualifies him as being dressed.

No man is worth the price you are asking. If the .50 is negotiable I will pass this on to my wife.

Well... He will be getting some comeuppance tonight...
There is a family from church with 5 children and the woman is always bragging about how she can feed her family of 7 on $200 a MONTH for groceries.
Thayne is enchanted with this idea and is always telling me that I could "learn something" from her. (I spend $200 a week)
I agreed to ask her how she does it....
I can not wait to see the look on his face tonight when I plop a platter full of Ramen on the table... No cheeses. No soup. No fresh fruit.. No wine.
Well.. maybe whine....
I predict I will be in the 8 person booth at our favorite family restaurant within an hour of aforementioned Ramen plopping.

I don't know why, but, that is such a universal guy thing. My fiance thinks nothing of walking in his back yard to take the trash out in his boxer shorts.
Ah, have you tried the Ramen noodles yet? How about serving Kraft macaroni and cheese? I remember eating that during my college days, will never, ever touch the stuff again as long as I live!
