When I click the link, I read: "You are not authorised to read this forum". Nothing else.
(P.S: I was able to read the instruction after I login out. A little strange, to be honest.)

I also tried, purely out of curiosity, and got the same response, Franz.

Shoot. I have been having issues with some access of late. A fix is in the works. Until then, this is what it says:
If you would like to ignore a user and their posts so you don't have to read their words, here are the instructions.
Click on user and then click on "Add Foe" from that user's profile.
It's that simple. And may save you a lot of headaches and heartburn!
Cheers,
Stefani

But remember, we are all here sharing a passion for this mystery. Ignoring someone, unless they are blatantly rude or abusive is probably not as helpful as an assertive post stating that something bothered you. Often a post like that will get an apology as a response.

Help! I use Mac OS 10.9.1 Maverick and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn off my online status. Here's what I see when going to Control Panel/Overview/Board Preferences:
Users can contact me by e-mail:
Administrators can e-mail me information:
Allow users to send you private messages:
Note that administrators and moderators will always be able to send you messages.
Notify me on new private messages:
Pop up window on new private message:
My board style:
My timezone:
Summer Time/DST is in effect:
My date format:
The syntax used is identical to the PHP date() function

if you sign out, and sign back in, you'll see a box to check to hide your online status :)

Well, I found the box and clicked on it. The check mark appeared, but here I am 'ONLINE'. Must be the site isn't yet adapted to work correctly with OS Maverick. I've had similar problems with my router and printer/FAX/scanner/copier.

hmm, that's odd. i too am on a mac, although haven't yet upgraded to maverick. that shouldn't matter though, it would be a browser thing, not an os thing. which browser and which version are you using?
i'll log off and see if it shows me as online or not.

it may be we see ourselves as being online, but it doesn't show to others.

Maverick has some interesting glitches that involve it's technology being too advanced...would've opted for Mountain Lion which is what I had previously except all the new ones come loaded with Maverick. My browser is Firefox. I still show ONLINE but you don't.

don't look at mine either. usually i have a lot of tabs open, one here. so may it looks like i'm online 24/7 when in reality i'm as likely to be sound asleep or 30 miles away as i am on this forum.
