I've never watched them before (someone mentioned there are more than one version) but this looks good... even though a bit far-fetched. I'll be sure to put it on the calendar. Thanks, MB.

Yes Mystery:
The clip in the post above is for the unseen and upcoming mini-series, not the movie.
I love the way they fashioned the movement of the clock hands and trail of blood. Eerie.
The original movie had some funky music. By the sound of it, it looks like the mini-series will as well.
Prepare yourself. Move over Jason and Freddy.
Poor Lizzie. They are destroying her character. She is being morphed into Michael Myers.
And that is what all young people will remember her for.

The Lifetime network has ordered a six-episode limited series entitled "Lizzie Borden: The Fall River Chronicles" to premiere in 2015. The decision comes after the successful reception of the network's original movie starring Christina Ricci, "Lizzie Borden Took An Ax." The movie aired in January of 2014, when more than 4 million viewers tuned in.

I’m sure this series will be just as successful as the network's original movie starring Christina Ricci, Lizzie Borden Took An Ax. It’s unfortunate that people are more into the ‘blood and guts’ type of viewing than anything that is factual.
I guess we will find out just how successful this series is later on this year.

Anything can happen in an industry that morphs Abraham Lincoln into a vampire hunter.

Poor Lizzie, is right. Even if she did commit the murders of her father and step-mother, I don't believe she deserves to be portrayed in such a manner.

I guess the original murder scene was not as bloody as some people like seeing.

If there's plenty of blood and gore and twists in the storyline people will give it a go. I wonder whether it will be shown on TV here? I will try it but I have to say I get irritated sometimes by these sorts of shows. They take a famous book or historical figure and put something on that bears no resemblance to the original at all. I will attempt to be tolerant, though, and who knows, I might like it!

I'm pretty much intolerant which is why I rarely see a movie after reading the non-fiction account. American Sniper will likely be an exception.

I think I've seen it. Wasn't all that great. Or maybe I'm thinking of another show about Lizzie. None of them are all that accurate.

This is a six episode TV series, Snokkums, starring Christina Ricci, that will be seen later this year. Fall River will have some gory murders, a cunning serial killer is on the loose in town and the police suspect Lizzie but there is no evidence linking her to anything. At least, I THINK that's the storyline, we shall have to see, I guess. I don't know whether I like the concept or not!

I don't think I would like it. I crave a gritty, realistic portrayal of the times. I don't want to hear rock music. I want to hear "In the good old summertime" playing when Abby gets killed, if they are going for twisted humor. I like dark humor. They need to find an actress who looks like Lizzie. A relatively unknown girl with "those eyes" and a quirky personality.

Off course this series will be looooooooooooooosely based on the truth.
It will be an animal in itself.
Any similarities between this series and Lizzie Borden are just suggested. The story line will be so twisted that it will have very little truth in it.
Since they had such success with the original movie, there will be a good chance that the same type of music will be used. Don't tamper with success. I hate it myself.... Not the music, but the use of it in a Victorian backdrop.
If you watch it you must do so without combing it for facts. Like someone on here said in another post, "Lincoln vampire killer."
Instead it will be "Lizzie crazy butcher chick."
I can't wrap my head around Ricci as Lizzie. She is the worst Lizzie. Mostly her stature and size. Emma, DuVall would have made an excellent Lizzie. There is mystery and an obscurity in her gaze. She looks more like a Lizzie.
My suggestion is if you thrive on the truth don't watch the series. You will only annoy yourself.

Shameful and a disgrace to Mr. & Mrs. Borden. These were real people and should not be dis-respected in such a way. This is rubbish......
