Iowa's first blizzard of the season!

First of all-- even though the snow was already bad last night-- that was still no reason to call school at 8pm.... There could have been a miracle! In fact-- I was holding out on one!
Secondly-- my telephone call to what's-his-name reminding him to get gas for the snow-blower (He always tells me "Honey, that is a snow-THROWER not a snow-blower" there is a difference and obviously it matters to him) was a waste of my time....
This morning he starts what I call his "man talk".. "yup, better get the 4 wheel drive out (usually the "4 wheel drive" is known as Audrey's car) and go into town for some gas". What he really wants to do is wait until it is bad enough to "force" him to take the snowmobile 4 miles to the nearest gas station.
It is still snowing and we are meant to get 4-8" more before it is all over.
I have failed Lillie and Torrey by not having walnuts in the house for them to bake into the cookies they are baking... (Actually it should read I failed to have walnuts for them to waste with the other ingredients they are using to pretend they can bake)
My mother called....
She told me she is "thinking of coming for a visit".... IF "It would not be any problem". Translate: I have already bought my ticket.
I should "go to no trouble". Translate: "I will find fault despite your efforts anyway".
Zack is still in bed despite the many warnings from his father about "sleeping all day" when he has "chores to do".
Alax has been on the phone all morning and "watched" The Price is Right with Meagan, his new girlfriend. (Obviously Meagan's parents have jobs they have to go to despite the weather and are not home to force her off the phone)
Joey and Mikey got into a fight and Joey told Mikey he was a "tool" and Mikey flipped him off-- so they both got punished.
Usually this place is peaceful and quiet on weekdays...
Stupid snow...
