Bertha Manchester!

I’ve always wondered if the man who murdered Bertha Manchester may have also murdered the Bordens? I have always read that Andrew Borden was a skinflint so maybe the man who murdered Bertha thought he had been cheated by Andrew so he committed the murders. Plus, I don’t think a woman could have committed these murders because in those days women did not work out like they do now and I don’t believe a woman would have been strong or head, the stamina to literally crack the skulls of her victims

Duke -- hi! There was medical testimony that a woman would have been able to inflict the damage the killer put upon Abby and Andrew.
They caught and prosecuted the man who killed Bertha and there was no identified connection to the Borden's.

I would be curious to see any newspaper articles written at the time about this particular murder and if Lizzie had maybe read them. The line of thought here being knowledge of blood spatter in axe murders. Was this something that could be logically known at the time by your average 32 year old spinster (for lack of a better word)? Maybe knowledge of slaughtering animals, but a human, and what would need to be done to "cover your tracks". IF there were any newspaper articles that wrote specifically about the Manchester murder scene, etc. would be insightful.

Philmento -- sorry for the very delayed response....just noticed your post.
The Manchester murder occurred 9 months after the Borden murders and just as Lizzie's trial was starting.
