Today marks one year since I began investigating this case. I thought I would reach a firm conclusion within a couple of weeks. My current assessment is that I have joined the ranks of the multi-decade investigators.
You meet many interesting people along the way. I have heard stories of friendships, and even marriages, developing through a shared interest in the case. As you delve further into its theories and clues, you also begin exploring the broader history in which it is embedded.
The investigation has also inspired me to learn more about our justice system and about the responsibilities that accompany a search for truth, particularly the ethical collection, sharing, and presentation of evidence.

Probably won’t be much truth in the series.
Definitely won’t be watching it.

Read a couple of reviews. Apparently the Netflix storyline will involve a Bridget/Lizzie relationship and the Nance O'Neil lesbian angle. If these reviews prove to be accurate, that is disappointing since their is zero to suggest any close relationship between Bridget and Lizzie outside that they lived in the same house and they were both present at the property when both murders occurred. Also sounds like Abby will be the Cinderella like 'Evil Step-Mother' character, mirroring the Elizabeth Montgomery movie from the 1970's.
I'll watch the Netflix series out of curiosity and topic interest, but will go in expecting total fiction to avoid getting frustrated.
This story is so compelling on its own merits, I just don't get why the need to add a sensationalist and baseless set of theories.
Ah well.....

I'm going to watch it and use the differences to inform myself of where I might be making assumptions to fit my own internally consistent story about the case and the psychology and motives of all the people involved.

Cam, I think the reason is because apart from financial gain, and audience appeal, the makers of this type product are mostly illiterate concerning the actual case.
They spin a novel, and pollute the serious research.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it’s also a promotion for homosexuality.
No thanks.
