Lizzie & Emma's grave today.

This is a photo of Lizzie & Emma's grave today at about 3:30pm.
I don't like to pat myself on the back but I thought it was a nice photo.
The way the color of the flowers contrast with the pure white snow. Some how like Lizzie & Emma were clinging onto life thru the flowers before this latest New England blizzard takes it's toll.

You're a brave soul Mark, going out in that snow to Oak Grove.

Pretty COOL photo. It's nice to see that both Emma and Lizzie have flowers.

Thanks for posting it.

That's the right pic. It's not what you would expect to see for Lizzie & Emma's grave but that's what I stumbled upon.

It is a beautiful but a distubing photograph Mark. My sister was buried in January, a week before my 17th birthday, I will never forget the pain and the cold. It took me many years to feel at peace at her gravesite, this photo seminds me of the pain.

Mark... Pat away.

I love to see such beauty in odd places. I saved that photo in my Lizzie folder and am happy to have it. Thank you for sharing it.

No footprints leading to the flowers... How very interesting.

Great photo, Mark. Thanks for sharing. I especially love the marks in the snow, made by the wind.

Very nice photo Mark. I am glad you shared it. Those flowers look kind of lonely surrounded as they are by all of that snow, but it is beautiful how they stand out against it all.

Thanks Mark!
That's hauntingly beautiful.

Looks like drag marks to me...
I've been watching too much Court TV.

Thank you all. I thought it was a good photo. I had to trudge thru 3 feet of snow to get to the gravesite. Hers a large view showing the family marker and the flowers off to the left.

Nice photos, Mark.

Living relatively nearby, I know firsthand what you had to go through to get those pictures. Not only do we have lots of snow around, the temperatures have been very low. It was 1 above 0 this morning.

Bbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

On Wednesday Fairhaven called off school for the rest of the week.

Yes Chris, we had 2 degrees this morn when I left for work. The snow I can handle, maybe even the wind but the COLD!!! I learned this morning that some body parts will just not co-operate in 2 degrees with a wind of 15mph.

Mark...

Is that a digital camera?

The photos are of excellent quality and ar crystal clear.

Yes Audrey, it is. It's a Fuji Finepix S602 zoom. I bought it when it 1st came out a few years ago and I paid more for that camera then I did for my 1st car! Excellent photos though. I guess you get what you pay for. I love digital. You can check the shot right away and delete if you don't like. I shot 98 photos the other day in 2 hours and didn't spend a cent on developing them. I don't think digital is quite at the level you can get with film but it's slowly catching up.

No footprints leading away, either. Seriously, Mark, a view of Oak Grove we don't ordinarily get to see. Thanks for braving the elements and trudging through the drifts with your camera!
