While surfing around I found a site with a link to this page for these two female artists from France, Marie-Claire Lefort and Marie-Francine Oppeneau; Lefor-Openo.

They designed this lamp that I remember everyone's older sister had in their bedroom, oh, how I coveted it, I thought it was the ultimate in coolness! It was a style I remember well from the 60s into the early 70s.

Its called the Marotte lamp:

Heres is a link to their site, unfortunately it is all in French, but, easy enough to get around to look at some of their wonderful, swinging 60s designs that they created!

Their site has an "English version" button you can click on Susan.

I never saw that lamp before and my sisters had a whole lot of stuff. Most of our stuff was from the fifties. Cool lamp though. The face look's like Louise Brooks. I like her.

Thanks, Steve, never noticed the English button on their site. I recall that look being just everywhere, there were mannequins that looked like that lamp in clothing stores, etc. It was neat to find out where it all originated.
