Ohmigawd!!! Just when you think you have seen everything, something new comes to your attention! I've seen people with body piercings before, but, this is something else; corset piercing. Apparently it has been around for awhile and is nothing new, but, new to me! The idea is that a series of piercings are done on the woman's body (mostly back, but also front and sides) and a set of rings are inserted and ribbon or lace woven back and forth through the rings to simulate the closure of a corset!!!

Now, I can understand the allure of a woman cinched up in a corset or bustier, but corset piercing? Ewww! Not to mention that its a piercing that will almost always fail and cause scars that will possibly last for life.

AhahhhhhhhhhhhAAAAAAA!!! Finally something I know something about.........

Well not sure you have seen my picture in my profile before.if you havnt look now:) Im somewhat into the gothish "thing" although allot less since I had my child.........you know It look wierd when goth mom is trying to disapline her child and teach them manners and such.:)

Anyway before I had my child......almost 4 years ago I used to go to go to alot of hard core underground Goth-S&M clubs you wouldnt believe some of the timgs they had at these places..........

I saw alot of these kind of piercings and hook piercings done where they hook ya and hang you up with chains........believe it or not........these people do it for the pain and the pleasure of it as well as the style mostly the pain pleasure thing.

I never knew anyone personally who did it...but looking back. Im thankful i didnt do it...I'd never be able to waer a bacKless dress!!

I do have one little tattoo on my ankle...a dolphin mama and her baby.

I lived on the island of Oahu when I went to the WYLAND galleries in Hawii and this guy was a student under wyland...........and he is AWESOME WITH DOLFINS!!


I actually used to get very gussied up to look very rich and would go to the galleries under the pretenses of buying art so that they would take his art off the wall and take it to the show room for me to look at....................I never got to buy one but I loved to gaze at those paining for hours ander the different light....................very amazing.

Wow...this guy does some very nice work !

Oh my gawd! That is great! I love his stuff but I truely dig petre maybe it was something about being there I dont know....hawaii is so magical could have been that too......anyone can fall in love in a second there:)

Thanks, Nona. Your post brought back memories when I was into the Punk/Goth thing many years ago. Multiple ear piercings were the furthest we ever went, nothing that extreme. I think corset piercing gives me the willies because its only a surface piercing and could easily rip out! My sister had that happen with one of her earlobes when her hoop earring got caught and had to have the whole thing stitched back together again, what a mess.
