Lizzie Borden event
The Delvena Theatre Company will perform “Lizzie Borden and the 40 Whacks†in the Stevens Memorial Library’s Rotunda on Sunday, March 30, 2:30 p.m. The interactive event will depict the story of the infamous Fall River native who was acquitted of the axe murders of her parents in August of 1892. The audience will participate in a mock trial with the ability to question Borden, deciding if she’s innocent or guilty and agree on the sentence. The aim is to see if people of 2008 view the case differently than in the late 1800’s.
