Lizzie Borden The Musical in Orlando

At least a decade ago, my old friend Michael Wanzie wrote the books and lyrics for a musical version of the Lizzie Borden story. It is being performed at the Theatre Downtown in Orlando, Florida, from August 23 to September 8. All my Orlando friends, please attend!

LIZZIE BORDEN: THE MUSICAL: Aug. 23-Sept. 8. Produced in collaboration with Wanzie Presents, the show tells of Ms. Borden, infamously tried — and acquitted — in the 1892 axe murders of her father and stepmother.

Mondo Lizzie Borden, Episode 7: NOT Lizzie Borden

Being a collector of the weird and fabulous as it relates to the Borden case, I have files of these images saved during the past twenty years. And I would like to share them with you now. Laugh, gasp, chuckle, or rage, these photos were all on eBay. For a price. I used to write the sellers and let them know they didn’t have a Lizzie, but soon gave up on that practice. They didn’t care. Even though they were committing fraud by the sale of the image as a true Lizzie Borden. Oh well.
