Lizzie Borden Novel: Maplecroft by Cherie Priest

So far, so good. Lizzie Borden is a monster killer, protecting sister Emma from strange beasts with her iron hatchet. I am enjoying the story and author Cherie Priest’s take on the tale of Lizzie Borden, taking her to great heights of “nightmare and madness.”

Of particular interest to me, besides the use of Lizzie Borden in this fashion, is the backdrop of Fall River as the place where all mayhem takes place.

I must say it is a jolly good read thus far. More later as I get deeper into the story……

Mondo Lizzie Borden, Episode 7: NOT Lizzie Borden

Being a collector of the weird and fabulous as it relates to the Borden case, I have files of these images saved during the past twenty years. And I would like to share them with you now. Laugh, gasp, chuckle, or rage, these photos were all on eBay. For a price. I used to write the sellers and let them know they didn’t have a Lizzie, but soon gave up on that practice. They didn’t care. Even though they were committing fraud by the sale of the image as a true Lizzie Borden. Oh well.
