\nTue Oct 30, 2007, 12:31 AM EDT<\/p>\nFALL RIVER \u00e2\u20ac\u201d On Halloween this year, the legend of Lizzie Borden will be shared with a few million people.
\nLizzie Borden\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Bed and Breakfast will shine under a national spotlight Wednesday morning on \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Montel Williams Show.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/p>\nLizzie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s co-owner Lee Ann Wilber will talk about her own paranormal experiences at the home that was the scene of a brutal double murder more than 115 years ago. Williams\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Oct. 31 show is dedicated to haunted houses across the country.<\/p>\n
The show, scheduled to air at 10 a.m. on Halloween, will feature such allegedly haunted places as the Hosier\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Restaurant and Carluccio\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Tivoli Gardens of Las Vegas and the Waverly Sanitorium of Louisville, Ky., along with Lizzie Borden\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s. <\/p>\n
Individuals who care for the haunted places will be interviewed about their experiences, and famed physic Sylvia Browne will also talk about the reported paranormal activity at each site. <\/p>\n
Browne will discuss \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the unexplainable noises, shadows and voices as well the rearrangement of furniture\u00e2\u20ac\u009d that has been known to happen at Lizzie Borden\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s, according to a press release from the show.<\/p>\n
Wilber\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s appearance on the show, taped a week ago, went by like a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153blur,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d she said.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We talked about the rocking chair that moves on its own on the third floor or that moves from one side of the room to another,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Wilber. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I also discussed the moving of shadows in the rooms and an incident when I was making the bed and I suddenly found myself on the floor sobbing.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n
Wilber and Lizzie are no strangers to national attention, after filming spots for A&E, the History Channel and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Ghosthunters\u00e2\u20ac\u009d in the past few years. But Wilber said \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Montel Williams Show\u00e2\u20ac\u009d will strike at the heart of a whole new kind of audience.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It was nice that I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t go looking for them, that they called us. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nice to be recognized,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Wilber.<\/p>\n
Tim Weisberg, co-founder of Spooky Southcoast, a weekly paranormal radio show in New Bedford, has spent numerous evenings at the Borden house, and has seen many things that he can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t explain. And each time he and his crew visit, the experiences get more intense.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve done about four to five investigations there, and the things that happened there started as simple as my legs getting lifted up off the bed but have progressed over time to wrestling with something,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Weisberg. <\/p>\n
Lizzie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s house psychic told Weisberg that he had caught the ire of Lizzie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s father Andrew, and now every time the group travels to the home where Andrew met his end with 10 hacks of an axe to his face, Weisberg begins to taunt him.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s quite the adrenaline rush, and once it happens, you try to aggravate the situation to see if it happens again,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Weisberg said.<\/p>\n
But its not only about the Borden murders when it comes to the home being haunted, Weisberg noted. Lizzie\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s home is a haven of refuge for a number of spirits unrelated to the 1892 murder.<\/p>\n
Michael, a former caretaker at the bed and breakfast who died accidentally a few years ago, is known to haunt the third floor. And two young children who alledgedly drowned in the Bordens\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 back yard have also been known to come and go.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
