No, the house that Lizzie Borden and her sister Emma purchased in 1893 is not for sale again. However, you can own a painting of the house by Massachusetts artist Don Hammontree!<\/p>\n

The original 22″ x 28″ acrylic, ink, and canvas painting can be purchased for $275 (plus shipping) from my Don’s Etsy\u00a0site<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is also available as a 5″ x 7″ or 8″ x 10″ color print on matte cardstock paper for $12 (plus shipping).<\/div>\n

Born in blue-collar Peoria, Ill., Don Hammontree is a Massachusetts-based artist, photographer, musician and writer. His photographs and colorful paintings, which tend to focus on streetscapes, architecture and vintage automobiles, have been displayed throughout New England, in exhibits and shows stretching from Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, New Bedford, and Fall River in Massachusetts to Newport, Providence,\u00a0and Pawtucket in Rhode Island.<\/p>\n

As a musician, Hammontree is a regular presence on the local music circuit, performing original material from his three solo records in venues across Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. He\u2019s currently the guitarist\/singer for the Allston-based power-pop trio Bad Fogelberg and will be recording new material with them in the coming months.<\/p>\n

A writer whose work has appeared in several New England newspapers, Hammontree is the author of “Baptized in Formaldehyde,” which he cheekily describes as a \u201cday-in-the-life, coming-of-age, sex, drugs, rock \u2018n\u2019 roll novel for the whole family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
