1st. 1961, Adelaide Churchill’s home, 216 Second St., is destroyed by fire (R44)

3rd. 1905, Emma leaves Maplecroft (R311)

3rd. 1832, Judge Caleb Blodgett is born in Dorchester, NH  (R193)

5th. 1927, Lizzie’s funeral is held at noon in Fall River (R319)

5th. 1893, The Commonwealth vs. Lizzie Borden begins, runs from 5 June to 20 June

6th. 1865, Andrew J. Borden marries Abby Durfee Gray, she is 37 and he is 43 (Emma is 14, Lizzie is 5) (R22)

6th. 1893, Jurors visit the crime scene  (R240)

8th. 1893, Alice Russell testifies at the trial

9th. 1893, John Minnehan, patrolman assigned to follow John Morse, dies at the age of 48 (R150)

10th. 1927, Emma Borden dies  (R312)

11th. 1885, William Almy, former partner to Andrew Borden, dies at the age of 63  (R53-54)

12th.  1836, Judge Justin Dewey is born in Alford, MA (R194)

12th. 1893, Lizzie’s inquest testimony is excluded at the trial

13th. 1893, the skull of Andrew Borden is presented in court, Lizzie leaves the room (R249)

13th. 1981, Victoria Lincoln dies in Baltimore, MD at the age of 76 (R368)

14th. 1893, Prussic Acid story is excluded at the trial of Lizzie Borden (R250)

14th. 1955, Grace Hartley Howe dies in Fall River at the age of 80 (R333)

15th. 1893, Opening Arguments for the Defense are presented in the Trial of Lizzie Borden

15th. 1893, Freddy Potter finds an axe on the roof of Crowe’s barn (R105)

16th. 1893, on this, the 11th day of the trial, Emma testifies for the defense

16th. 1867, Helen Leighton is born in Millbridge, ME (R330)

19th. 1874, Andrew has running water installed at 92 Second St., 2 faucets (LBQ July 1997, p. 18)

19th. 1893, Closing arguments are presented for the defense, closing arguments for the prosecution are begun

20th. 1893, Closing arguments for the prosecution are finished and the charge to the jury is read by Justice Dewey

21st. 1890, June 21 – Nov. 1, Lizzie travels to Europe for 19 weeks (R17)

22nd. 1893, Sofa on which Andrew Jackson Borden was murdered is returned to the Borden home (R112)

2nd. 1883, Bebe Wilmarth Borden, Abraham Borden’s second wife and step-grandmother to Emma and Lizzie, dies at the age of 82 (R4)

2nd 1917, William Henry Moody dies in Haverhill, MA at the age of 64 (R145)

3rd. 1908, Miss Hannah B. Nelson, housekeeper at Maplecroft from 1903-1908, dies in Providence, RI at the age of 37 (R288)

3rd. 1918, Emma and Lizzie sell #230 Second St. to John W. Dunn  (R307)

5th. 1801, Bebe Wilmarth, Abraham Borden’s second wife, is born in Attleboro, MA (R4)

5th. 1833, John Vinnicum Morse, Sarah Borden’s brother and uncle to Lizzie and Emma, is born in Fall River (R70)

7th. 1868, Henry G. Trickey is born in Dover, NH (R165)

7th. 1896, Emma and Lizzie sell Ferry St. house to Pauline Rabinovitz and Harris Banov for $6500 (R28)

8th. 1798, Abraham Borden, father of Andrew J. and Lurana, is born (R3)

10th. 1892, John Morse visits the Bordens (R76)

11th. 1893, News reports that Lizzie and Emma have purchased 7 French St. from Charles M. Allen (R286)

15th. 1892, Andrew buys Ferry St. property back from Emma and Lizzie for $5000 (R30)

19th. 1860, Lizzie Andrew Borden is born in Fall River

20th. 1840, Dr. Seabury Bowen is born in Attleboro, MA

21st. 1892, Emma and Lizzie travel to New Bedford (R62)

23rd. 1892, Lizzie goes shopping alone in downtown New Bedford for 1.5 hours (R62)

24th. 1950, Helen Leighton dies in Arlington, MA at the age of 84 (R331)

25th. 1892, Lizzie makes trip to Marion and visits the yacht of Charles W. Anthony (R62)

26th. 1892, Lizzie and hosts travel to Westport, return by way of New Bedford, Lizzie returns to Fall River (R62)

28th. 1858, Dr. William Andrew Dolan is born in Shirley, MA (R99)

30th. 1936, Mrs. Rufus Hilliard dies in Fall River at the age of 75 (R149)
