Bridget’s surety

Post by Inspector »

Not trying to rehash old topics, just some thoughts on little things that I didn’t quite catch in the testimony before. Of course this testimony is well known, but take a look how confident Bridget was. She felt Lizzie must be at the top stairs. or very close. Seems Bridget was aware that Lizzie wasn’t in any of the upstairs rooms.
We can all make what we wish of it .

I would think there would be a noticeable difference in noise clarity if someone was in one of the bedrooms vs. directly above in an open air space?
I presume since the noise she heard was clear and distinct, that her brain interpreted as directly above her, which would be the landing.

I agree, probably Bridget had been called from that area by the girls on other occasions.
Something stood out in Bridget’s PH testimony regarding the front door.
She stated that she never had to let Andrew in the front door since she had been employed there.
