Off topic - entertaining Fall River 1880 info!

Seems the Borden's had interesting neighbors just a couple blocks south on Second Street. They actually provided this info to the census taker, or maybe he took the liberty to editorialize.

I love this stuff!

Check out the name of the 'madam' of the house. She sure wasn't living up to her last name!

The address looks like 146 Second Street. In 1880 that would be at the intersection of Second and Morgan street, just 2/10th mile south of the Borden's.

Lorcan, can you help me figure out what the adjacent property to 4 Turner st. (same as 71 Turner) looked like on a map, and who possibly owned it in 1892?

Inspector, sent you PM with the link (below) to the Fall River City Directories. Another good source for what you are looking for are the U.S. census reports. Problem is that the 1890 census data was lost in a Washington DC fire. If 1880 or 1900 would help, I can help you get to those sources also. Let me know.

Good find, Camgarsky. Speaking of Second Street, I wonder if Andrew got rid of the horse because of the stable so conveniently close to the house? I think Uncle John went to a different stable for his trip out to Swansea, but the one near the house may have been fully booked.
