The Archives...Im going in!

Post by Nona »

WEll my friends this is a note to say I'm going to the archives.........and I don't know when I'll be back!! I've been there a few times and come out a few hours later........just for some air. I always come out smarter, wiser and with a new perspective and appreciation and respect for all you"OLD TIMERS"

Iam determined to go though every thread of ALL the archives.....to gain any new information I can and so I don't RE-hash any information that is already widely known. So this is to let you all know I may be there a few days or maybe even a week (I have dial-up, this will take awhile) so I won't post for awhile........BUT I WILL BE BACK!!!!

Hey Snookums why don't you join me in the Archives.we will have a party there........and we can learn more about Lizzie at the same time? You wanna see who finishes first? Ill meet you there!

Talk to you all soon.......Im going in!!!!

Always good to see a daring explorer willing to take the risk of clicking on the Archives link. It lurks at the top of every page, just under the Lizzie Borden Society motto ("A free society devoted to the serious discussion of the Borden murders of 1892, Fall River, and Victorian America"). That link beckons -- allures -- tempts us with its siren song.

It's so easy to click, and the page it leads to is so scrumptious with its search function, plus all the familiar boards from this form. But only the brave dare explore the fascinating threads within this unknown country.

Here's a pith helmet and some extra elephants to help you remember your information. If you're not out in a year or so, we'll send send a rescue party to find you.

Excelsior!

Happy spelunking Nona! Reading ALL the archives is a formidable task.

If you need any help holler up the back stairs and those of us in our attic rooms will be glad to run for help.

Enjoy.

I loved the resources of the virtual museum, I ventured into the archives after that... to shame I couldn't read them all but no.

Another hint to searching is google, often I've found things in the archives through google that would have taken me ages through this search engine (I think I'm just bad with this particular search feature on this site I don't get far)

enjoy for sure....

Snok...it's great that you are going to go check out the archives with Nona. You will find SO MUCH information there. I am sure it will take a while...but it will be very well worth it. By the time you get done...what we are saying now will be in the archives...and you can start over again...fun !

Oh, hey watch out for the.... there's at least three cases of Susan's favorite pressed and preserved piggy product - which shall be nameless because if I do name it there will only be more - over near the stairs. If you took a flashlight along you should be okay tho....

Oh and if you hear someone speaking Latin, take notes...there's a test next week!!

 Oh, but there are ever so many other tasty morsels in the archives, a veritable feast for the mind! I find it helps to go through the archives with a particular subject in mind or question, less searching that way, unless of course you would like to read it all. Leave a trail of breadcrumbs, Lizzie's pigeons are gone, they will still be there when you need to find your way back.

Actually there are four separate archives. The first screen has four separate Topic groups, one for each time Stefani archived periods of messages.

The oldest go back to January 2002.
