The screwing of Martha Stewart....

Post by Audrey »

Now they are charging one of the federal agents who testified against Martha with perjury!

http://www.thestreet.com/_tscbrk/funds/ ... 61722.html

Earlier one of the jurors was found to have lied about his criminal past.

They do not foresee a new trial or any changes to her conviction!!

What do they need????? Despite a person's opinion on her and this case I can not see how a person can fail to see that she deserves a new trial at least!

I am sure Martha herself will have something to say about it...

I am eager for the new business week to begin to see what happens in this case.

A knowledgeable person told me that they may very well wait for her sentencing before filing appeals, etc.

Has anyone else noticed her stock is on the rise again since this was announced?

Martha may have been completly innocent but I really think she was doing what everyone else on Wall Street was doing. They just needed a scape goat to show the country that Wall Street doesn't tolerate this kind of thing even though everyone there does.

Hey Martha baby, three words, "trailing stop loss." Remember that. It will keep you out of trouble! It will also keep you from going broke.

I'm going to laugh my head off if Martha comes out of this bigger than she was before and the blow-hards that put her in jail end up there.

Mon Dieu...

Wonderful Martha is back and better than ever!

See where a good education and hard work can get you? She took what she knew and was good at and made herself a billion dollars doing it.

Kudos to her!

Exactly. She has got plenty of moxie, that's for sure. She remind's me of Jessica Savitch. I have a book called: "Martha, Inc." I'm going to be reading it soon. I love stories of successful people who had the drive and guts to get off their butts and make things happen instead of waiting for a handout. Have you ever read: "Love Can Build a Bridge?" It is a super good book on the struggles of Naomi Judd. She had a rough go at it.

I agree Audrey. She took the fall for what plenty of big-wigs get away with (Mr Bush for example)

I'm halfway through "Martha Inc." and so far it looks like she was a witch, according to what her former friends and associates are saying. But sucessful people are usually hated anyway. I'll let you know how it ends.

She's considered a witch because she's a woman. A man of the same caibre is considered a tough, good businessman. Successful women are always resented.

So far it look's like they have the goods on Martha.

There is a difference between a woman, or man, who is bold, assertive, know's what they want and works hard to get it and treats others with kindness and a woman, or man, who is bold, assertive, know's what they want and works hard to get it and behaves like a jackass in the proccess. I have had the experience of working with both types. Evidently, from what most of her friends and business associates have been saying, Martha is of the latter crowd. She will go into a restuarant and rant and rave if she dosen't get a seat instantly. Rips off her friends. Mean and vindictive. Too bad. Her neighbors can't stand her. She lies on TV about her wonderful home life when her neighbors know other wise. But I have to hand it to her, she has guts to go after her dreams. Inspite of everything I still like Martha for some reason or other.

It is an interesting book. I'm getting to the point where she is getting involved with Imclone and it's shady founder who just happened to be her daughter's former boy friend. A regular Peyton Place.

Just finished "Martha, Inc." It ended abruptly but she was painted as a coniving witch. My kind of woman

Well worth reading whether you like or hate her. Interesting story.
