Rest easy, sleep well.

I just got this in my email today from my mom. It really touched me. I don't know if anyone else has ever seen pictures like this, but I never had. I'll include the the contents of the entire email as I received it.

Arlington Cemetery at Christmas

I didn't see this in the newspaper or on the news on TV. Did you ??
Once again the good is never made public.
Only those of us who have email get to enjoy wonderful sights such as this.

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
Peace, peace, and farewell..

These wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

I have seen this in person and it is even more breathtaking than in that lovely photo.

It was a wonderful thing to share.

Thanks Melissa for the very touching photos.

How sad we don't see photos or TV coverage of deeds like this. I guess they're too busy covering what Paris Hilton is up to. :-?

That firm in Maine deserves a hell of a pat on the back.

No I wouldn't mind that at all. I'd like to send this to as many people as possible.
